Our promise to readers

MedRemind publishes patient-education content written by a developer and caregiver, not a licensed clinician. Every clinical claim is cross-checked against primary sources: the US Food and Drug Administration (openFDA drug labels), Spain's Centro de Información Online de Medicamentos de la AEMPS (CIMA), the National Institutes of Health's MedlinePlus, and Mayo Clinic patient-education articles.

What we are, and what we are not

We are a medication reminder app that publishes educational content to help people understand their prescriptions better. We do not practice medicine, prescribe treatments, diagnose conditions, or make health recommendations tailored to any individual. Every article on this site ends, and begins, with the same reminder: always follow your prescribing clinician and read the label that came with your medication.

Sourcing standards

  • Every dosage statement links to a regulator label or NIH summary.
  • Every interaction claim is verified against the app's built-in offline interaction database or a named public source.
  • Comparative claims about other apps are sourced from those apps' public listings on Google Play, the App Store, or their own marketing sites, and screenshots are kept on file with their date of capture.
  • We do not cite anonymous user reviews as medical evidence.

Who writes and reviews

Technical articles about the MedRemind app are written by Abraham Carreola, developer and caregiver. Patient-education articles in the categories drug information, best time to take, and health tips are published under the MedRemind Editorial byline and carry a "Cross-checked against" block that lists the specific sources consulted. Every medical article includes a last reviewed date. When we bring on a licensed pharmacist or physician reviewer, their credentials will appear in the byline.

How we use AI

Some article drafting is assisted by large language models. Every clinical claim in every article is verified by a human against the primary sources listed above before publication. We do not publish AI output without human review. Where AI is used for translation into Spanish, a human reads the result end to end and the post is only marked published after that review.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, a stale dosage statement, or a misattributed quote, email support@medremindapp.com. We correct clinical errors within seven days and update the last reviewed date on the affected article. For significant corrections we note the change at the bottom of the article.

Conflicts of interest

MedRemind is an independent app built by a solo developer. We are not paid by any pharmaceutical company, insurer, or platform to cover specific medications or competitors. When we compare MedRemind to other apps, we disclose the comparison explicitly and our own product's limitations alongside its strengths.

What this policy does not do

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing here replaces the professional judgment of your physician, pharmacist, or care team. If anything you read here does not match what your clinician told you, trust your clinician.
